Post-maintenance and care of non-stick frying pans

1. Daily Use Precautions

Avoid high-temperature cooking

Non-stick coatings typically withstand temperatures of 260°C or less. Cooking them dry or over high heat can cause the coating to peel or warp.

Recommendation: Cook over medium-low heat with a cold pan and cold oil (add oil before turning on the heat).

Avoid using metal spatulas or steel wool

The coating is easily scratched by metal; use a wooden, silicone, or nylon spatula.

When cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge; avoid using hard cleaning tools.

Avoid sudden changes in temperature

Rinsing a hot pan with cold water can cause the coating to crack. Allow it to cool naturally before cleaning.

Avoid using acidic or highly alkaline foods

Prolonged cooking with ingredients such as ketchup, vinegar, and lemon juice can corrode the coating. It is recommended to use a stainless steel pan for acidic ingredients.

2. Cleaning and Maintenance

Immediate Cleaning

Steps:

After cooking, cool the pan slightly and soak it in warm water to soften any remaining food. Gently scrub with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with neutral detergent. For stubborn stains, apply a baking soda paste (baking soda and water) for 10 minutes.

Rinse and dry to avoid residual water stains.

Do not:

Wash in a dishwasher (high temperatures and detergents accelerate coating aging).

Use bleach or strong detergents.

Regular Maintenance

Coating Maintenance: Apply a thin layer of cooking oil (such as sunflower oil) monthly, heat over low heat for 2 minutes, and wipe clean to enhance anti-stick properties.

Pot Bottom Cleaning: Wipe any burn marks on the exterior with a paste of white vinegar and baking soda to ensure even heat conduction.

3. Tips for Extending the Lifespan

Lubricate the pot before cooking: Pour oil into a cold pot and evenly coat, then heat over low heat.

Storage:

When stacking, separate pots with a soft cloth or potholder to prevent friction.

Avoid hanging (the handle may become warped).

Replacement Period:

Under normal use, approximately 2-3 years. Replace if the coating is noticeably damaged.
